Dearest Clients,
One of our core values at Dominion Payroll is continuous improvement, and we’ve been making some major strides toward that end over the past few months! We are reinventing ourselves from the inside out, and DP 2.0 is our strategy for bringing you, our beloved clients, new products and even better service. We are beyond excited to share with you some of the great projects we’ve been working on so that we can offer you even better products and better service than ever before. It’s been tough keeping the secrets while we strategized and developed our infrastructure!
The first pieces of the DP 2.0 puzzle were actually put in place in the fall of 2012 when we started developing better systems to track requests from clients and manage cases from start to finish, ensuring that your inquiries get resolved quickly and completely. The new systems have allowed us to improve our efficiency and our responsiveness, helping us make sure that you get what you need when you need it. After that, we went to work on designing a new website that would allow us to communicate more effectively with clients and prospects. What we wound up with is a website that’s not only functional and informative, it’s downright classy; and really, how could you ask for more?
The next step is more of a giant leap, really…and I feel like I need a drum roll at this point, but I’m not sure how to write the sound that a drum roll would make, so I’m going to need you to insert an imaginary drum roll here… The next step? The next step is Empire, and Empire is, well, nothing short of amazing.
Now that I’ve used lots of adjectives to get you on the edge of your seat in anticipation, let’s get to some nouns so you’ll know what Empire really is. Empire is literally the most innovative payroll and HR product on the market today (and you know I wouldn’t say “literally” unless I meant it). We have done great things on our current software platform, and there comes a time in the life of every product when it’s time for a massive upgrade. That time is now. Empire is that massive upgrade, a software platform for integrated time and attendance, HR, employee self-service, and, you guessed it, payroll!
I feel like that last sentence is the equivalent of describing the latest smart phones (“They text, email, stream videos, play music, surf the web, change your babies’ diapers, and even make phone calls!”), and it’s true that today’s technology is expected to multi-task just as much as we do. Empire does just that — it gives you the ability to manage your workforce all in one system, reducing unnecessary duplication of work, keeping your data secure yet accessible, and saving you time and money in the process. We even have a new logo!
Our favorite thing about Empire is its scalability and versatility. Yes, it can do everything from benefits administration to complex reporting across multiple databases to general ledgers to time and attendance, but it can also scale down to a simple employee database and payroll grid where you key in your hours and hit “process payroll” when you’re done if that’s what you need. This scalability makes it a great fit for any client, from a one-employee monthly to a thousand-employee weekly. No matter how simple or complex your payroll is, Empire can handle it and handle it well…and it feels good to be able to say so with confidence!
As if that wasn’t enough, we’re also in the process of launching a system (FileGuardian PUSH) that will allow us to deliver important payroll figures to you and your employees via text message. Need just your Total Cash Required number from the Cash Analysis and hate waiting the office so you can pull the reports? You’ll be able to get that number via SMS. Have employees who’d like to get a text confirmation of their net pay amount and PTO balance each payroll? We’ll be able to do that, too.
We’re excited to embark on this new DP 2.0 adventure with all of you and are thrilled that we’ll be able to offer and even higher level of service to help make your payroll life easier. To help you stay informed on the changes, we’ve developed a section on our new website devoted exclusively to common questions current clients may have about the transition. To access it, click here. Empire and PUSH will be rolling out soon, so look for more information on product launches and availability throughout the summer!
