Richmond, VA – Dominion Payroll, a Richmond based payroll and human resources company, announced today that the company topped the
$150,000 mark in charitable contributions and services during 2012 to area foundations, arts, and non-profits.
“From our first day in business 11 years ago, it has been our goal to make significant, local contributions,” Dave Gallagher, CEO of DP, said.
More than 50 organizations are benefiting from DP’s contributions including diverse groups such as The Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, The Richmond Ballet, Maymont Foundation, The Children’s Museum of Richmond, The Flying Squirrels, The Triangle Theater, Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, The Visual Arts Center, Richmond Center Stage, and the Weinstein JCC among others.
In addition to the contributions and services, Gallagher and his partner, David Fratkin, are active on various area boards. Gallagher currently is on the boards of Benedictine Schools, Visual Arts Center, Richmond Center Stage, the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce and the Longwood University Business School Foundation. He formerly served on the boards of the Virginia Council of CEOs, the Children’s Museum and St. Bridget’s School.
David Fratkin is on the board of The Payroll Group, an industry leading association, where he served as president, the Richmond Jewish Federation, and the Weinstein JCC.
DP has encouraged employees to be active as well and the company has conducted annual fund raisers for different groups. The company was recently recognized by the Richmond Sports Backers for its “DP Walk Off” campaign that resulted in a contribution to the winning team’s charity, St. Joseph’s Villa.
