Dominion Payroll sponsors 2014 HFTP Regional Conference

In our continuing effort to support our clients while learning more about the businesses of our clients, Dominion Payroll was a sponsor at the 2014 HFTP Regional conference. This year, the conference was held at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs, Florida.

HFTP stands for Hospitality, Financial and Technology Partners. This group of CFO’s, Controllers, General Managers and CIO’s oversee some of the nation’s largest country clubs, private clubs and golf clubs. In their positions, they oversee everything from the entire club to payroll, human resources, benefits and the technology required to run businesses operating with revenues above $100M.

Dennis Gallagher, President and Owner of Dominion Payroll Florida, was present and was able to mingle with several of our existing clients while meeting many new CFO’s. Dennis spent some time talking with a few CFO’s about the difference between a Controller and a CFO and how the CFO has grown into a leadership role that requires them to understand not just the balance sheet but critical business functions like Human Resources and Information Technology.

Many of the participants talk about the importance of outsourcing critical functions like payroll, human resources and having a solid technology platform that can make these functions less manually intensive and therefore more efficient.

Dennis also had the opportunity to present Empire, our proprietary Human Capital Management and Payroll platform to several interested parties. The main topic of interest: online open enrollment, carrier connection and benefits administration. Dominion Payroll is looking forward to offering their solutions to several more clubs in the south Florida area over the months and years to come!
