In a stunning sweep of ChamberRVA’s major awards this year, on November 13th Dominion Payroll took home the IMPACT Award in the small business category. We were beyond thrilled in February when we won ChamberRVA’s HYPE Young Professional Workplace Award in recognition of our efforts to foster a great workplace for young employees. To be recognized now for our outsized impact on our local economy, the lives of our staff, and the community we call home just puts us over the moon!
The annual award ceremony took place at the Richmond Marriott Hotel this year, where roughly 600 of the region’s most influential business owners and employees gathered to celebrate each other over dinner and cocktails. Keynoting the event was Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney who outlined development proposals for parts of Richmond’s downtown and lavished praise on the finalists in this year’s IMPACT competition.
The IMPACT award was created to recognize companies in the Richmond region who positively “impact” the community, the local economy, and their employees. Dominion Payroll, twice a finalist for this award, is proud to take the top honor this year in the small business category against co-finalists Compare.com and Dodson Property Management. In the large business category Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP bested co-finalists CapTech and Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia.
