HR Collier – Best Practices for Data Security and Background Checks

Dennis Gallagher, President and Owner of Dominion Payroll Florida, recently sponsored and spoke to the attendees of HR Collier. HR Collier is a group of HR professionals, located in Collier county Florida. Most of these professionals lead the Human Resources departments of large hospitality, country club, golf courses and homeowner association groups.

The main topic of the discussion was around Data Security and Background Checking. In today’s world of protecting cyber security, data security and understanding the legal terms related to hiring and background checks, Dennis spoke to a full and interested crowd.

Many of the attendees are interested in ways to better understand the security around their own Human Capital Management data. Background checks are becoming increasingly more important in the hiring decision, but, it’s very important companies understand the risk that comes with making a hiring/non-hiring decision based solely on the results of the background search.
