At the beginning of June, we welcomed our interns for the Summer of 2022! They learned about the Design Thinking Process, chose the department of their interest (Sales, Finance, or Marketing) and helped the department solve specific problems. These interns work with mentors/mentees to find the greatest solution and present their findings. Here are some facts about our interns:
Hailey Cooke
What college/school you are currently attending and what’s your area of study/major? I’m a Rising Sophomore at University of Mary Washington. I’m a Geography Major with an Environment Specialization.
What’s your dream job? My dream childhood job was to be a park ranger at national and state parks/forests. It’s still my dream job!
What are you passionate about? One thing I’m passionate about is music, rather, listening to it. I love to listen to all different types of genres and my favorite bands are the Grateful Dead and ABBA.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off? My favorite way to spend a day off is doing anything outside. From just sitting outside to doing yard work.
Erin Junkmann
What college/school you are currently attending and what’s your area of study/major? I currently attend Georgetown University, and I am a rising third-year studying Psychology.
What’s your dream job? My dream job would be either an FBI agent or a sports psychologist.
What are you passionate about? I am passionate about soccer, music, food, and mental health in athletics.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off? My favorite way to spend a day off would be waking up early and working out. Then I would make avocado toast and hangout with my dog and my family. Ideally, I would then watch either Criminal Minds or Harry Potter and mainly just chill.
Alex LaFratta
What college/school you are currently attending and what’s your area of study/major? I am a rising senior at Roanoke College where I am studying Business Administration and Marketing.
What’s your dream job? My dream job is to work as an executive in the corporate world.
What are you passionate about? I am passionate about soccer, fitness, helping others, and mental health.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off? Weather permitting, my favorite way to spend a day off would entail a morning run, followed by an outdoor activity such as swimming or hiking.
Grayson Rose
What college/school you are currently attending and what’s your area of study/major? I am a rising junior at Liberty University studying accounting.
What’s your dream job? My dream job is to own a golf course.
What are you passionate about? I am passionate about football and baseball.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off? I enjoy my day off by playing golf with family or friends.
Rachel Tiller
What college/school you are currently attending and what’s your area of study/major? I am a rising third year in the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, looking to either concentrate in finance or accounting.
What’s your dream job? My dream job would be to become a professional dancer in either New York or LA!
What are you passionate about? I am passionate about family, friends, dance, iced coffee, and cats.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off? My favorite way to spend a day off is a day at the lake with friends and family!
Madison Steele
What college/school you are currently attending and what’s your area of study/major? I am at Liberty University.
What’s your dream job? My dream job would be a high school math teacher.
What are you passionate about? Jesus and dogs and coffee!
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off? My favorite way to spend a day off is a day in, maybe a movie, puzzles, but definitely with friends.
