DP is a HUGE support of small business, and we encourage you to remember all of our clients out there – Don’t forget Small Business Saturday! Take advantage of great deals without having to deal with the hassle of “Black Friday.” “Small Business Saturday” is a counterpart to “Black Friday” that was created in order to encourage the importance of small, local businesses. Small businesses are the forefront of the economy, making up 99.7% of all employers. Note your favorite local stores to help their publicity and awareness. To pinpoint the local businesses participating, visit the Shop Small Map.
The newly founded holiday, established in 2010, emphasizes many of the same things that “Think.Shop.Buy.” does with groups like the Retail Merchants Association out of Richmond, VA. Always looking outside the box, they’ve put together a separate date (Dec. 14th) that encourages consumers to visit shoppers on a participating list and they could get rewarded with a $500 gift card.
Participating in Small Business Saturday is beneficial to everyone in the community. Help create awareness by using social media and word of mouth. The more knowledge of the event, the better and it means more savings for you and your families! Don’t miss out. Mark your calendars and wait out all the hustle and bustle of “Black Friday.”
